Built for drivers, by drivers
About Wayea
Built by someone who understands the challenges
Wayea wasn't created in a boardroom.
It was created from real experiences behind the wheel.
Like many drivers, I remember being new to the industry. The responsibility of driving a large coach is significant enough on its own. Add unfamiliar towns and cities, restricted roads, low bridges, tight turns, busy schools, hotels, stadiums and constantly changing traffic conditions, and it quickly becomes clear that traditional navigation systems don't always understand what coach drivers actually need.
Today, the roads are busier than ever. E-bikes, delivery riders, cyclists, congestion, roadworks and increasing traffic volumes all compete for a driver's attention.
The last thing a coach driver needs is to be constantly glancing at a screen every few seconds wondering:
Am I on the right route?
Can I fit through there?
Is this restriction for coaches or just HGVs?
Where can I safely stop?
Is this the correct entrance?
Wayea was built to reduce that uncertainty.
More than just navigation
Wayea is designed specifically for coach operations.
Features such as:
Coach-safe routing
Tour planning
Approach Assist
Official coach parking locations
Community verified stopping points
Verified coach drop-off locations
Fleet visibility and route sharing
Vehicle-specific route planning
are all aimed at making life easier for drivers and operators alike.
Our goal is simple:
Give drivers confidence before they arrive, not just directions while they're travelling.
Wayea Verified
One of the most powerful ideas behind Wayea is the community.
Every day, drivers discover useful locations that aren't always shown on traditional maps:
Safe coach parking
Reliable drop-off points
Suitable pickup locations
Better approaches to difficult destinations
Areas best avoided
As a community of PSV professionals, we have an opportunity to make life easier not just for ourselves, but for every driver who follows behind us.
When a location is shared, confirmed and verified through Wayea, that knowledge becomes available to other drivers who may be visiting the area for the first time.
Sometimes it's not just about finding somewhere to stop. It's about finding the right place to stop.
A well-positioned coach can make boarding easier, improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. Poorly positioned vehicles can create unnecessary difficulties for other coaches, local traffic and fellow drivers trying to access the same destination.
By sharing verified parking areas, drop-off points and approach guidance, we can help reduce situations where drivers are forced into unsuitable roads, awkward manoeuvres or unnecessarily tight access routes.
The goal is simple:
Use the experience of today's drivers to help tomorrow's drivers arrive with confidence.
Together, we can build the most useful coach knowledge network in the industry — one verified location at a time.
Supporting both new and experienced drivers
Whether you're driving your first school run or you've spent decades behind the wheel, everyone occasionally encounters somewhere unfamiliar.
Wayea aims to remove some of that pressure.
If we can help drivers arrive with greater confidence, reduce unnecessary stress and make journeys safer and more predictable, then we're achieving exactly what we set out to do.
Looking Ahead
Wayea is more than a navigation platform.
Future plans include a dedicated community space where PSV professionals can:
Share roadworks and diversion information
Report changes to road layouts and access routes
Discuss coach-friendly parking locations
Suggest new verified locations
Share operational advice and local knowledge
Provide feedback and help shape the future of the platform
The vision is simple:
A coach navigation platform built by drivers, improved by drivers, and made stronger by the knowledge of the community behind it.
Important Notice
Wayea is provided as a navigation and planning aid only.
Drivers remain fully responsible for:
Checking routes before travel
Observing all road signs and restrictions
Complying with local regulations
Assessing road suitability
Operating vehicles safely at all times
Route guidance, community information, verified locations, parking suggestions and approach assistance should always be independently assessed by the driver before use.
Road conditions, restrictions and access arrangements can change without notice.
Wayea accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, fines, delays, incidents or consequences arising from the use of information provided within the platform.
Drivers should always rely on their own judgement, professional training and observation of the road environment when making driving decisions.
